Here/Hear is a final word and laying to rest dance/ritual about fatphobia and misogynoir in the concert dance world. Blowing up a literal elephant in the room and projecting different real life phrases that were used to sensationalize and dehumanize Kayla and other Black and fat women throughout history—this dance was an opportunity to talk about these aspects of her body, in these ways, for the first and last time.
